Kansas Homeschool Summary
If you are homeschooling within the state of Kansas, you will need to follow these steps:
- Notify your previous school. All first year homeschooling students must inform their previous school that their student will not be attending and be homeschooled instead.
- Fill out a registration form. Also, all first year homeschooling students must fill out a registration form for the State Board of Education. You can fill out this form online here or print off the pdf version and mail it in by clicking here.
- Keep records. The state recommends that families keep track of each student’s attendance, tests, and progress so that when you transfer to another school or college, things go smoothly.
