Kansas Homeschool Summary

If you are homeschooling within the state of Kansas, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Notify your previous school. All first year homeschooling students must inform their previous school that their student will not be attending and be homeschooled instead.
  2. Fill out a registration form. Also, all first year homeschooling students must fill out a registration form for the State Board of Education. You can fill out this form online here or print off the pdf version and mail it in by clicking here.
  3. Keep records. The state recommends that families keep track of each student’s attendance, tests, and progress so that when you transfer to another school or college, things go smoothly.
