Teaching Writing Their Way
Everyone is different, and the same goes for how people learn. Some are visual learners who find it easier to catch on with visual aids. Others are auditory learners who prefer to listen and discuss what’s being instructed. Kinesthetic learners are most comfortable when there’s activity, participation, and movement involved. When it’s time for you to teach writing, the same principles apply to each learning style, so you need to tailor your instruction accordingly.
The Write Stuff
Our free downloadable resource, Writing Tips for Learning Styles, offers plenty of information about each learning style and provides tips and assignments designed to effectively teach your student how to improve their writing based on how they learn best. If you’re not sure which type of learner your child is, take our learning style assessment.
