Dual Enrollment FAQs
Before enrolling in the Associate Degree program, student should have completed high school Chemistry, World Geography, Algebra II, 2 years of foreign language, and art in 9th or 10th grade. If these courses have not been taken, your student will have to complete them while in the program, in addition to their college courses.
Yes. We are able to work with you and your student to find the courses that your student needs and come up with a schedule that works for them. However, if the student is seeking to earn an associate degree from Ohio Christian University, there are specific times throughout the year when those courses are scheduled to begin — typically in conjunction with other Bridgeway Academy students.
Yes and no. We always encourage students to contact the college or university that they wish to attend to confirm that the institution will accept transfer credits from our college partners. Each school is different and they have their own set of requirements that they look for from a college transfer course. By using American Council on Education approved courses, we can confidently say that there are 440 schools that will accept these transfer courses. No, the courses are asynchronous in that your student can log in at their convenience. Some classes have deadlines whereas others are more flexible. Upon starting the course, make sure your student reads the course syllabus to know whether the course has deadlines for assignments.
