The main thing to remember with this program is that the workbook that is included must be used along with the material every step of the way. The first several disks are purely audio CD's with the instructional material on them that goes along with the book. The last CD in the bundle is the resource CD and includes the dictionaries, stories that must be read (but are also in the workbook) the language Adventure and many other resources. Give the workbook a thorough looking-through before you start the course. Each page has a tab on it that tells you where the content fits into the course study. The quizzes and tests are in the back of the book and the answer keys are in the appendices at the very end of the book. - Appendix A contains the student answers for self quizzes, exercises and section puzzles. - Appendix D is the removable answer sheet for parents to grade tests, etc. When writing answers in the book, try to write them in Spanish as much as possible, especially in the Level II languages. Above all, read the instructions in the beginning of the workbook to understand how the CD's and the book interact. |

Language NOW! Setup
& Walkthrough
System Requirements:
The Language NOW! software is not a translation program, it is a curriculum designed to teach students to speak a conversational foreign language. To Install the software, put the CD in your CD-ROM drive. 1. If the setup screen appears automatically, click Install LanguageNow! V8.
2. Click Next on the welcome screen. 3. Read the license agreement which appears on the screen. Click Yes to agree with the agreement. 4. Accept the recommended directory (C:\PROGRAM FILES\TLI\LANGUAGENOW V8) or click Browse to select a new location, then click Next. 5. Read the product information that appears on the screen and click Next. 6. Choose whether to Install the Alphabet Reference, then click Next. 7. Install QuickTime if necessary. 8. Decide whether you want a shortcut for LanguageNow! on your desktop. 9. Restart your computer before using LanguageNow!. 10. To Start LanguageNow! after installation, put the LanguageNow! CD in the drive to hear sound and see video or illustrations for the Titles listed on that CD, then choose Start >Programs > LanguageNow! V8 /LanguageNow! or double-click on the shortcut the desktop shortcut if you created it. 11. For a more complete installation guide, check
the booklet inside the jewel case that the CD came with. When you first start the program, click the Getting Started to read about the Successful Immersion and Step-By-Step approach. The rest is self explanatory, as with any new software, click the various links and buttons to get the feel for it before you start learning. All of the tests and quizzes are online. When you are ready to take a test or quiz, make sure that you are connected to the Internet. Take the quiz and then print out your score for your records.
