Help for High School Parents

The college admissions process can be daunting.? But instead of
allowing these last years spent with your child at home to be
a stressful experience, use these helpful materials to make the
transition to college as smooth as possible.

Personal admissions counselors Howard Greene and Associates, in conjunction with PBS, have compiled the Ten Steps to College with the Greenes.

This comprehensive resource contains relevant information, tools, video clips, and links to online resources on topics ranging from
planning your finances to the admissions process.

Bridgeway Academy has also developed a booklet entitled Getting the Edge on College Admissions. This resource is filled with tips to help you and your high school student make the most of your time in high school to gear up for college admissions and scholarships. This booklet contains a timeline for admissions, a guide to writing the admissions essay, and information on extra-curricular activities and SAT testing.

Dual Enrollment

Through our partnership with Davis College, Bridgeway Academy’s online College Now! program is quickly becoming a favorite among homeschoolers. Tell a 16-year-old that he can finish high school early by working ahead each term and you might ingnite a passion for learning and unleash untapped potential that you never dreamed of. Tell them they will also get a jump on college and prepare to be amazed!

By planning ahead, Bridgeway can help position middle and high school students for college-level courses early in their high school careers. This is a natural lead-in to our dual enrollment program, where students can earn both college and high school credit for the same advanced courses.
