Academic Advising Overview

Upon a student’s enrollment with Bridgeway they are assigned an Advisor who is ready to guide them through placement testing, course selection, and any remedial work needed. The Advisor accompanies the student and their family, not as their primary instructor, but as a source of support and expert insight. Traditional Advising

Bridgeway offers many different homeschool academic programs. Our Traditional Advisors are assigned students who have opted for our Traditional program (textbook format), our Bridgeway Choice program (textbook and online format), or our Higher Ed program (AP or Dual Enrollment courses with textbook/online format).

In-House Academic Counselors Now Hiring!

Counselors work full time (8 hours per day, 5 days per week).

Counselors are required to work summers and vacation time is not allowed during the months of August and September.

Counselors serve a minimum of 150 students, with additional students as assigned by management. In addition, counselors are responsible to help with company development projects, curriculum and program design and development, and facilitate training and/or support to contract advisors.

Counselors must have applicable certifications.

Counselors compensation is salaried.

Contract Advisors

Advisor contractors work directly with parents and students to support their academic efforts, provide support and resources to help families succeed and use their expertise to guide students through their academics (a remote advisor contractor can expect to commit 3-4 hours per day, 5 days per week).

Contractors are required to serve each student/family from the beginning to the end of their program. This means that contracts often continue through the summer. Priority is given to contractors who are available throughout August and September.

Bridgeway Academy will contract an advisor to serve up to 100 students; however, contractors may submit proposals requesting additional students and such proposals will be considered by Bridgeway Academy.

Individuals seeking to contract with Bridgeway Academy must have applicable teaching certification.

Contractors are compensated on a per student basis.
