Bridgeway Academy has agreed to partner with your university to offer the following programs:
Differentiated Instruction
This program includes a three hour seminar training on creating differentiated learning activities directed at each learning and personality style. Following the training, teaching candidates have the opportunity to develop four year long lesson plans that incorporate a variety of learning activities to meet the specific needs of each of the four learning and personality styles.
Students selecting this option can expect to gain approximately 25 hours of education exploration.
Successful candidates will also receive a certificate in Differentiated Instruction for Distance Learning.
For consideration, please send a letter of introduction, and a response to the following statement: “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should change the way they learn” (Ignacio Estrada).
How to Apply:
To seek consideration for any of the above opportunities, send a letter of introduction including:
- Name

Online Instruction
This program provides teaching candidates the opportunity to develop eight-week seminar courses that serve as specialized electives (i.e. How to Write an Essay; Study Skills; Art Appreciation; Math is Fun; SAT Prep; Explorations in History: Women’s Changing Roles; Critical Thinking and Logic) and valuable teaching experience.
Each candidate will develop an eight week interactive learning lab using power point or other online learning platform. They will then present their lesson in a live (synchronous) session each week ensuring that they not only instruct but also provide opportunity for student interaction. Each week’s lesson is to be followed by homework assignments that will engage students throughout the week.
Teaching candidates seeking this option must submit a letter of introduction, which includes the reason you would be the ideal candidate for this exploration opportunity, clearances and a Learning Lab Proposal that includes the title of the seminar as well as a brief summary of each lesson.
Successful candidates will receive an Online Instructional Certificate upon completion of the exploration.
Online Tutoring
Many distance learning students find the need for one-to-one help in specific concepts or skills as they move through their course. Therefore, distance learning instructors often find themselves serving in a tutoring capacity as they help students master new concepts.
With this exploration, teaching candidates gain valuable online tutoring experience that will prepare them for the one-to-one sessions that both classroom and online teaching require.
Teaching candidates seeking this option must provide a letter of introduction, clearances, and any tutoring experience already gained (not required for selection).
Successful candidates must commit to 18 hours of instruction (one hour per week for one semester) and will receive an Online Tutoring Certificate upon completion.
