Softbasics Math Tri-Pak
Instructions
To install follow these easy steps:
1. Insert disk in drive a: (use b: if your system is set-up that way).
2. In Windows 95 or 98: click Start, Run, then type a:install (then
enter)
(For Windows 3.1 or 3.11, click File rather than Start).
3. When the installation screen appears, click Extract then Yes
(Yes means the files will be placed in c:\sbas directory; if you
change
this, the created program ICONS may not work. See note below).
4. At this point, you will be prompted for the PASSWORD: brt4
(Important: DON'T lose the password - you'll need it for future
installs.)
5. The programs will then install in the Softbasics Tri-Pak group with
icons.
6. You may wish to Click and Drag the icons onto the Desktop (Win 95/98).
7. Before running the programs, please READ and PRINT the README
file. Everything is explained in detail.
8. To run programs later, Click Start, Programs, Softbasics Tri-Pak
(95/98).
(Or, use My Computer; in Win 3.1, open Softbasics window for icons).
9. NOTE: if you wish to create your own icons after putting files in
another
directory, the 3 needed are for mmake.exe, mmast.exe, and muser.exe.
10. Please read all HELP screens in each program - they explain every
module clearly. Clicking EXIT twice ends each program. Make sure you
use an INK JET or newer LASER for Math Maker prints and use BOTH
sides of each sheet to conserve paper - just re-insert paper in
printer.

If you have any problems with installation, please e-mail
jsbart@vgernet.net or call 413-229-2191 (8AM - 1PM EST). We will provide
tech support and replace the disk if necessary. Please read all HELP
screens and also the README file BEFORE contacting us to make sure each
step has been followed. There are good reasons for why the programs
operate
as they do although they may not be apparent to the user.
